ADVISORY Wins “Africa M&A Deal of the Year” at the 2015 M&A Atlas Awards, Global Major Markets

ADVISORY Legal Consultants is pleased to have received the “Africa M&A Deal of the Year” Award in recognition of the firm’s representation of ConocoPhillips (COP) in the $1.5 billion divestment of COP’s Nigerian upstream business to Oando Energy Resources. The award was presented at an annual gala organized by Global M&A Network that held at the Intrepid Air, Sea & Space Museum in New York on March 31, 2015.

The M&A Atlas Awards, Global Major Markets exclusively honours excellence for deals valued above 1 billion USD in the categories of deals, dealmaker teams and outstanding firms. Winners are selected independently based on the deal performance metrics.

ADVISORY Advises Notore Chemicals on Supply of Feed Gas for Fertilizer Plant

ADVISORY Legal Consultants is pleased to have advised Notore Chemicals Industries Plc (“Notore”) on a gas sale agreement with Accugas Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Seven Energy, and a gas transportation agreement with the Nigerian Gas Company, to ship the gas. Under the terms of the gas sale agreement, Accugas will supply gas to Notore’s fertilizer plant at a rate of 25 mmscf/day.

The formal commencement of gas deliveries to Notore’s fertilizer plant was announced here.

Policy Dialogue on Implications of the Falling Oil Price on Policy for Nigeria

Chief Consultant, ‘Gbite Adeniji was a panel speaker at an event jointly hosted by the Center for Public Policy Alternatives (CPPA) and the Nigeria Natural Resource Charter (NNRA) tagged “Policy Dialogue on Implications of the Falling Oil Price on Policy for Nigeria.” The event, which held on March 10, 2015, brought together leading industry experts and stakeholders to discuss the impact of the falling oil prices on Nigeria’s oil industry and Nigeria’s macroeconomics.

CPPA is an independent, non-partisan public policy think-tank that is committed to rigorous research to support development initiatives and improve governance. NNRA is the Nigerian arm of the Natural Resource Charter – a global initiative that aims to support governments and societies of resource-rich countries harness the economic opportunities of extractive industries.
