OVERVIEW

Tomi has experience working for local and international clients on energy and natural resources – power, oil and gas, mining, infrastructure and construction projects advising sponsors, bidders, contractors, states, public entities and lenders on project development and corporate transactions.

Tomi’s breadth of project experience which spans telecoms, rail, power projects, ports, social infrastructure, aviation and residential and commercial developments means that he has a strong grasp of the commercial and legal issues that typically arise in complex projects. He has been a part of teams advising on landmark projects such as the establishment of a mass transit rail system by a state government and the development, construction and execution of a $3 Billion FPSO contract.

His expertise covers the negotiation of key project documents and commercial agreements — Concessions, PPAs, EPC, O&M, and TSA agreements — across the development, investment and acquisition phases.

He is particularly attuned to the challenges of structuring transactions, managing stakeholder expectations, and navigating local legal frameworks in projects in Africa.
