Our ‘Gbite Adeniji was a panel speaker at the 2014 Natural Resource Charter Conference organized by Natural Resource Governance Institute (formerly Revenue Watch Institute) and co-hosted by the Oxford Centre for the Analysis of Resource Rich Economies (“OxCarre”). The Conference held at University of Oxford on June 12 and 13, 2014 and it focused on the theme “Strengthening Resource Governance: Policy and the Application of Measurement.” It brought together distinguished policy makers, practitioners, academics and other leading experts to discuss the latest research and policy relating to the governance of resource wealth. ‘Gbite was invited to speak on “Emerging Challenges in the Resource Sector in Nigeria”.
The Natural Resource Charter is a global initiative that aims to support governments and societies of resource-rich countries harness the economic opportunities of extractive industries. ‘Gbite serves on the Expert Panel of the Nigerian Natural Resource Charter, which is part of the Natural Resource Charter.
