Pelumi is an energy and projects lawyer with a background in dispute resolution. He has cognate experience advising on corporate structures for project development, M&A, upstream and midstream gas asset sale and purchase, upstream oil and gas operations as well as regulatory compliance.
He has advised bidders on the funding and the acquisition of interest in Marginal Fields during the 2020 marginal field bid round and is on the team that advised on the financing and development of a ~$3.5bn petrochemical complex comprising a 10,000 MT methanol plant and 1 bscf/d gas processing facilities. He has also advised on an ICC arbitration between a Marginal Field holder and its Technical Partner arising from funding defaults.
Pelumi has also advised on power and infrastructure projects most notably on a World Bank backed Embedded Solar Power Generation Project as well as the project development of a steel mill plant in North-Central Nigeria. He regularly contributes to thought leadership on aspects of Nigerian Energy , Corporate and Commercial law.
